Studying in London places you at the heart of a global city where history and innovation sit side by side. From centuries of architectural heritage to a thriving contemporary design and cultural scene, London offers constant inspiration and opportunity.
As one of the world’s most international and multicultural cities, it provides a unique environment to build a global perspective while studying and living in a truly dynamic setting.
London is defined by its iconic historical landmarks, from world-famous sites along the River Thames to centuries-old architecture set within a modern, evolving skyline. The city is exceptionally well connected, with fast rail links across the UK, easy access to Europe, and one of the world’s most extensive public transport networks.
We offer two study abroad options in London. The Semester program is a 15-week experience with two entry points in the fall or spring, offering full university integration alongside UK and international students. The Summer School option runs for 3–6 weeks, providing a shorter, intensive academic and cultural experience.

Students have the opportunity to experience:
Combined with integrated housing and structured local support, the program provides an immersive introduction to both London life and the wider UK experience.
Students are placed in housing aligned to their university or placement location, ensuring an efficient and high-quality day-to-day experience.
Students benefit from a structured cultural and experiential program to support integration into local life, including orientation, neighbourhood familiarisation, and ongoing engagement throughout the program. A step-by-step introduction helps students settle into a big city environment, starting with their immediate area to build confidence before exploring further.
All programs include a comprehensive support model with dedicated local staff in each location. Students benefit from regular one-to-one check-ins, an on-the-ground support team and 24/7 emergency assistance. This ensures they are fully supported to adapt, engage, and thrive both academically and personally.
Student safety and wellbeing are central to the RiSE program design. Our approach is proactive and structured, supporting students from pre-departure preparation and destination planning through to in-country support, incident response, and post-program review.
Drawing on experience delivering international programs, including work with younger participants, we combine strong safeguarding, local expertise, and 24/7 escalation procedures to ensure students can participate safely and confidently. Our team is trained in health, safety, safeguarding, and crisis response, underpinned by a robust risk management framework, a strong track record, and long-standing partnerships with academic institutions.

Staff in every city
Destination-specific guidance on health, safety, conduct, local laws, and cultural norms, followed by an in-country orientation covering neighbourhood awareness, transport, personal safety, and emergency contacts.
Continuous phone access throughout the program, with a clear escalation route from local staff to senior RiSE leads. Emergency contact available via call, text, WhatsApp, or app. Optional live tracking (e.g. AirTag) can be used at the student’s discretion.
Defined protocols for incidents of all levels, supported by clear escalation procedures and a structured risk management approach. Medical pathways include access to local doctors, hospitals, and English-speaking practitioners, as well as counselling referrals and online mental health support where needed.
Parents and families play an important role in shaping each student’s experience. By involving them as partners throughout the program, we strengthen communication, add an additional layer of support, and enhance overall risk management — helping students feel confident, supported, and able to make the most of their time abroad.
Joint family sessions covering destination, safety, communication, and what to expect.
Direct lines to RiSE staff for ongoing updates and family-led questions.
Transparent escalation procedures so families understand exactly how incidents are handled.
The university regularly organises career events, guest lectures, networking sessions, and workshops that allow students to interact with professionals and gain insight into different industries. These events are incredibly valuable for international students who want to understand the UK job market and build professional connections.
Professional Progression
One thing that really made a difference for me was decorating my room. It was such a fun project! I brought pictures and postcards from home to personalise my space and went out shopping for some new bits and pieces.
Settling In
In London you’re surrounded by free things to do: museum exhibitions, student society events, and library spaces for reading or studying. I try to say yes to more of those now instead of automatically going for paid activities. London has so much knowledge and entertainment that doesn’t cost a thing; it’s just about finding it.
Free Time
London touches upon my soul with an intensity I welcome – I am changed as a result, full of new things I didn’t even dare to imagine in my youth.
Impact
To all international students – take a deep breath. London can be a lot to take in, but it’s also incredibly exciting. Embrace the adventure, stay open-minded, and you’ll create memories that will last a lifetime!
